The Brother's Crunk by William Pauley III.
I'd like to say this book was a surprise, but it came highly recommended and didn't disappoint! So, it was something I stumbled upon and enjoyed reading, which is always a treat. 🤓 AND, there's a lot to unpack. 😂
William Pauley III does an incredible job world-building in a short time period, and the result is highly impressive! This is exceptionally true when you consider how many plots begin with a dystopian setting these days. Not that there's anything wrong with that, as my Dark Legends series is set in a disturbing reality as well (shameless self-promotion 😂).
So what happens when you mix burritos, fleshy cyborg beings, and the song, "The Bean Machine" into a post-apocalyptic setting?? A 'faking' good time! ✊😂 Two brothers in a world of hurt (the sweltering desert, Japan, and elsewhere) is about one of the best things to happen to typically boring and overdone doomed realities. Which is what earns the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me! 🤓
One of the great devices used masterfully is the way the author incorporated poetic intros every so often. 🤨

These were EXCELLENT ways to open the punchy chapters. 👊 Powerful method to draw the audience into a challenging world. Oh, and ‘Doom Vanderboom’ is the BEST name ever! So upset I can't use it in my fun-filled tales now! 🥴 Great work. 👌 This READ, must do:
